If you are a Tucson or South Tucson non-profit or small business financially stressed by COVID-19, have under 50 employees and not received other virus funding, help is on the way! All types of small businesses that meet these criteria can apply, but preference is given to owners who are members of a minority or other underrepresented group, a woman or veteran or have a disability. You can apply for a grant through Tucson’s We Are One/ Somos Uno Resiliency Fund (“Resiliency Fund”).
All financially impacted non-profits and small businesses (under 50 employees) in Tucson and South Tucson who otherwise meet the criteria can apply. However, businesses who are owned by a member of a minority or other underrepresented group, a woman or veteran or have a disability receive priority.
The program is being administered through the YWCA of Southern Arizona’s Women’s Business Center. The application is available in both English and Spanish. The YWCA can help you fill out the application. Call 1-520-884-7810, ext 7100. If you don’t already have a business account set up, YWCA staff can help you with that. Do not pay anyone to fill out a form for you.
The Community Foundation of Southern Arizona received $500,000 from this program and will administer continuity grants for non profits operating in both Tucson and South Tucson for up to $20,000 to help continue their operations: cfsaz.org.
